-President Obama turned the debate over the extension of the Bush tax cuts into a 2012 campaign issue when he made a deal with Republicans to extend them all for another two years.Now two more of the Republican Party's potential presidential nominees are staking out their position on the tax cut plan. But unlike the other potential 2012 contenders, these two politicians, Rep. Mike Pence of Indiana and Sen. John Thune of South Dakota, are actually obligated to vote on the matter this year.
I dont quiet understand the whole for two more years thing but that shows some of us out here really dont understand. they need to be finding out what is better for the U.S. and help.

1. What does Federalism mean by definition and what does Federalism mean to you?
A:Federalism is a sysstem of government in which a written constitution divides the powers of government on a territorial basis between a central,or national, government and several regional governments,usually called states or provices.I realy dont know much about it but I guess its important.
2. List and describe the three powers of the National Government.
A:(The Expressed Powers-this is,it has only those powers delegated to it in the Constiution.)
(The Implied Powers-thay are not expressly stated in the Constitution but are reasonably suggested implied by the expressed powers.)
(The Inherent Powers-they belong to the National Government because it is the government of a sovereign state withim the world commiunity.)
3. Explain the division of powers and why it is important?
A:This document is between the National Government and states.This division of power was implied in the original Constitution and then spelled out in the Bill of Rights.
4. What is the Supremacy Clause and what is its function?
A: The Farmers anticipated these conflicts and so they wrote the Supremacy Clause into the Constition. The Supremacy has been called the "Linchpin of the Constitution" because it joins the national Government and the States into a single Government unit,a federal government.
